GB Studio (v2 Beta) game not loading #1187

Describe the bug After uploading game following GB Studio and Itch instructions, loading stops at "Loading game for the first time..."

To Reproduce

  1. Export to web in GB Studio
  2. Compress contents of 'build/web' folder into '.zip'
  3. Create new game on Itch.io (kind == HTML), upload '.zip'
  4. Hit 'Save', then 'View Page'.

Expected behavior Game should load.

Additional context I tried uploading a different HTML-based game and it worked fine, so it seems to be a bug specific to GB Studio. Further, game can be hosted locally on Firefox, and online through Netlify, so issue is specific to itch.io.

Do you have a link to the page I can look at?

Stuck on "Loading game for the first time..." suggests that it's failing to extract. There could be something about your zip file (possibly file name encoding) that might be tripping it up
