Requesting tag ban/ exclusion as the feeds are clogged with degenerate content

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. The site is flooded with too many degenerate content which makes it almost impossible to find something mildly interesting and not degenerate material even after scrolling for hours on end. The old exclusion script doesnt seem to be functional either. This is highly problematic for exposure of good indie creators where the tags such as Furry,LGBTQ,Yuri,gay and other degenerate matterial seems to be overrated as many uses stop using the site. [Sorry that these tags are associated with the said content, but this is an observation. Let us actlike professionals and keep politics outside the door. This is not reddit. We are developers, act like one.] Similarly, another problem is over-abundance of certain genre of games such visual novels which are often related to the degenerate creations and the horror genre which is also have too many contents. To make the discovery more efficient, this problem should be considered and eradicated.

Describe the solution you'd like Reimplement the old exclusion string and make sure that it supports multiple tags. Also might need to implement the exclusion logic which should be or in this scenario, if this logic is and the users will have to include all tags to exclude games.

Dude I just gave you the reasons cause yall have asked, its a filter not to remove. And im sorry to inform you that majority of the gamers are not into lgbtq and furry, I cant do anything about the truth offending you or your organization.

Again to filter, cause it makes the process of finding games easier. I hate censorship myself and I am not against people creating and posting their furry, lgbtq or pornographic games into the site. Its their right to express themselves. However it would be a good idea for users to be able to filter tags or ban tags (personalization features).

Additionally the previous filtering script doesn't seem to work as intended. Im sure I am clear this time and hope you will not get offended.

First, whether I am offended is irrelevant, and nothing in my response was political. Your statement on LGTBQ material being "degenerate" is an offensive statement to large numbers of people. According to the 2024 GLAAD Gaming Report, located at https://glaad.org/glaad-gaming/2024/,

Second, I understood your issue - you want to be able to add specific tags to an exclusion string. There is nothing inherently wrong with that request. The additional, inflammatory commentary you provided as your justification was unnecessary.

Third, you submitted an issue using discriminatory language in an open-source community. That kind of behavior is not just antithetical to the purpose and mission of open-source software development, it is also deeply unprofessional. Additionally about the tags being related to degenerate material is my over all experience, It is not I who created, I simply saw them and ended up becoming sick of degenerate(suggestive,erotic or appalling) content which in turn creates a bad impression about the site. On average, around 80% of the people in the world doesn't suffer from gender dysphoria and is straight. Again, gender politics and political correctness shouldn't be forced into gaming or open source community to please an easily offended group of political minority, ruining the self-image of different demographics. Reason

• Make the browsing process more reliable and user-friendly.
• Use the amount of unwanted/explicit/appalling content appearing on your feed.
• Increase the visibility for indie developers whose creations are unique from the oversaturated, which should not be named in honor of political correctness.
• Oversaturated tags can be better navigated with the integration of exclusion and inclusion strings

Conclusion

The problem has been going on for several years, i.e. over 6 years. The exclusion scripts have not been correctly implemented. Going through the forums, I discovered that there are people within this organization who doesn't want the normal gamers to be able to exclude all the LGBT(~Q(~Watever)) tags, thus it wasn't correctly implemented. The truth is that the implementation isn't that hard, considering that there is an exclusion string which strangely doesn't work.

As seen in the above illustration, when searched for story rich you have gotten a fury RPG, using the exclusion string does not work here. Considering the content in the discussion forums, the rumors does sound like it has some truth to it.

This represents unprofessional behavior from the part of the power mods, it seems like there is a reddit problem in the forums as well. Removing the down vote button was highly unproffesional and childish. Locking the whole post cause someone insulted? However the take away here is

this topic has gone on for too long without any helpful conclusions.

The problem here is that the discussion had suggested and tested and discussed solutions. It is sad to see that the moderators have came to this conclusion when the implementation process is upto them

In one of the above discussions one of the users have mentioned that there are over 900k free games out of which only 4k is LGBT, However in all the 5 filters you can consistently find LGBT, furry or NSFW content frequently. People have different design tastes, but there are things that are subjectively found to be appealing to the human brain. I would like to discuss more, but this discussion would become increasingly political, thus no longer true to the cause. Humans do not like to see appalling or unnatural content, the whole browsing experience is thus ruined and the lesser known indie devs will remain unknown as the user count shift to a certain demographic.

Now since that is out of the way I hope we can simply implement the features instead of getting offended, finding faults, name calling, gaslighting or any other kind of unproductive behavior. This is merely a reaction and I didnt intend to waste my time investigating on something merely insignificant such as this. We could have simply implemented the product .
