8 years ago I think badges should be set by moderators only? they would be used to point out people with a role that matters in the context of the community.
I was thinking of letting people setup a very short bio for themselves too, but maybe that would just clutter the UI unnecessarily.

8 years ago How about a short tagline that anyone can set their own little bit, but moderators can set custom ones (with a different color to distinguish from a tagline / maybe bolded too or something) on a community by community basis?
It'd be cool if we could tag users within a community, like having one or more little badges below their profile picture to point out that they are core developers or contributors, etc. I guess like a flair on reddit, basically!
Use case: sometimes people don't know who they are talking to and having a "Superpowers maintainer" or "Superpowers Minecraft Studio maintainer" badge could help give context!
