I'm getting basically the exact same error. I'm from the Philippines and also mysteriously cannot download anything from the site. I had to use the Epic Game Store to find a legit installer but it fails at that point, too.

I've used Itch.io to download several games successfully in the past. This is the first time I've ever had it fail on me outright like this with error codes or simply being stuck in endless loop of preparing my download with nothing happening.

Same error dude. I think this has something to do with our ISP. PLDT experiences this error, but I asked my friend to install it using a different ISP and he could install it just fine. It should have something to do with PLDT blocking itch.io's CDN. My itch.io was fine a few weeks ago, not sure what happened now :\ For those experiencing this issue, try using a VPN. It works on my end

It seems like no one gives a fuck about the quality of this client. I'm speechless.

I have a similar issue and it is impossible to install the client, but no one answered to the issue like if it doesn't exist at all.

I had my VPN on while trying to install and turning it off managed to fix it so if any of yall are using a vpn try turning it off!

No vpn for me, look at the specific issue that I opened like in 1981 for fuck sake! 🙈
