raw data files: need to be uploaded elsewhere (dryad?) - too big for here (but we provide the cleaned data file (rds))

itchyshin commented 4 years ago

@SusZaj - yes, we should just have it in OSF and make OSF public when we submit (or we can partially make public) - we can chat it when we are submitting. You must know how it works in OSF? (the to-do list looks good).

Too big for github or OSF?

Is the raw datafile already available online? If so we online need to provide the reduced dataset.

In any case, I agree: we can put the data in OSF (if they allow something that big). Alternatively, zenodo.org

@dfalster - thanks for the tip! (if OSF is no go, zenodo.org looks good! - @mlagisz used this before to put our old meta-analysis)

@SusZaj - FYI: https://zenodo.org/record/33544#.Xp5-UZpS-Fw

We provide the cleaned-up data file (and the option/code to do the cleaning). While officially the data are publicly accessible, you may remember the trouble we had to get our hands on it? That's why we asked Jeremy to provide the raw data. The zipped file (274 MB) is too big for both GitHub (25 MB max) and OSF (max 100 MB). As the online IMPC dataset is constantly changing, for reproducibility I think we really should provide the original data file we use. I'll check out zenodo.org, thanks for the hint! :-)

have uploaded BUT NOT YET PUBLISHED on zenodo. Final Html will have to be provided here as well, as PNAS does not allow HTML format as supplemental material.

Uploading as html on zenodo is good option, but we can make a pdf if that’s preferred
