The edit gives an option of turning off displaying k values by using a new function parameter k. K values get messed up when adjusting the x-scales of the plots for multi-panel graphics (they disappear or are displayed at odd positions), so it is sometimes better not to have them displayed automatically. K values can be easily added manually later at customized positions or replaced with other info.
