Cannot maintain connection with aqara motion sensors #3

Has anyone had issues maintaining connecting with aqara motion sensors? Mine will pair but then not communicate thereafter. Is there a setting I'm missing?

darkxst commented 1 year ago

@gerardsyd I have had issues with the Aqara motion sensors using Zigbee2MQTT, but they seem to work ok under ZHA so probably a bug somewhere.

gerardsyd commented 1 year ago

Thanks. Managed to get them paired and working fine now. Took many multiple repairs. A number of the pairing appeared to work but wouldn't hold a consistent connection. I was having the same issue with ZHA so I feel like it's something between aqara and dongle-e but not sure ...

I'm having issues with the aqara cube and the aqara roller shades E1. They pair, but they do not respond after (zigbee2mqtt). I tryied to pair them to many times without luck so far. Ended up using the conbee with zha (the devices were working before with zigbee2mqtt under conbee II stick)...

My aquara sensors do not want to connect at all, and terminate the connection. They are in polling mode in ZHA and mqtt (eadge/stable) my second Sonoff-P stick works correctly with z2mqtt, I expected it to be also with Sonoff-E, however, I have big problems with this. (tried Usb2/usb3 on my single board computer). I do not connect the devices button, two-key switch, cube, and maybe there will be problems with others, I have not checked yet.

Same issue here with the door and window sensor.

I'm able to pair my Aqara motion sensors in ZigBee2MQTT but they only report link quality. Battery and other entities are null. I've been able to pair my Aqara contact sensors with no issues and they work great.

@gerardsyd What did a failed pair look like for you? Did it pair and just not report all values?

gerardsyd commented 1 year ago

Yea one either it didn't pair at all or, when it did pair, it would send the first message and then nothing. Just had to keep trying until it continued to send messages. It's been stable ever since so seems like a pairing issue.

same issue with this aqara motion sensor. No problem to pair with the SonOff but after no communication

I managed to pair them, but I had to go back 5 or 6 times by sensors... I have a lot of problem of disconnection on the sensors like "SNZB-04" or "SNZB-01" (Button) that work well for a few hours or even a day, but end up disconnecting, it is quite frustrating.

More info: I use Zigbee2MQTT version : 1.28.4-1 and the firmware version of the ZBDongle-E is 6.10.3.0 build297 (version installed at the purchase of the ZBDongle-E).

How can I compare my version with the version proposed here Which is the most up-to-date version between 6.10.3.0 build297 and 6.10.3_V1.0.1 Do I need to upgrade to 6.10.3_V1.0.1? Is there a version history with a description of changes and improvements for each firmware?

They are the same version, just different reporting of firmware versions in different places. For example Elelabs tool also reports this same firmware as 6.10.3-41.
