What are the steps involved in installing a copy of the backend API on a development platform (let's say my laptop)?
These are the steps I've already done:
install laravel (and lumens),
restore a copy of paleobook db to my mariadb server,
clone source files from GitHub.
What now?
I don't see any .env file, do I need one? If no, where do I set config info?
Maybe someone has prepared a series of API calls ready for testing with some tool like Postman?
The .env file is placed directly inside the backend directory of the server.
The last step to replicate the application locally is edit this downloaded config file (dbname, dbusername ì, etc.).
