Bookmarking functionality is very basic indeed (but even that, I hear sometimes, is too much/not really needed). Perhaps limit on the number of bookmarks should be removed. Bookmarks share a lot of implementation with history, which is added automatically and needs to be limited. I wasn't sure if number of bookmarks needed to be limited too, but erred on the side of making it work the same way as history. As for the export - I personally don't see a use case for it, not sure what would be useful about it outside of the app itself... One possible workflow to consider, at least for Wikipedia/Wiktionary articles, is to open their online version (article title at the very top of the content is the link) and bookmark in the browser - this way you get all the bookmark management/syncing implemented in browsers and a meaningful, permanent links to original articles.

Bookmarks functionality I use often and I appreciate it. I would never say it is not really needed! Aard2 is my Wikipedia dictionary of first choice, even when I have fast internet. I have yet not suffered of the 100 item limit, but I would rather remove it. No need to export them, though.

A great use case for me was checking words (browsing, e-books, manual input etc.) casually and exporting the history after a couple of weeks (only entries, not definitions) to a text file in GoldenDict. Then I use the list to create new Anki .
GoldenDict Free is not supported in Android 10 and I'm looking for an alternative. Aard2 seems great, but lacks this feature. Also saw @Davidbrcz 's issue, but that's not the case.
TL/DR the option to:
Same boat here... been using Poet Assistant for Dictionary and Thesaurus, and was ecstatic to begin uaing Aard 2 because support for multiple dictionaries is paramount tomy understanding of words, definitions, potential context, etc. Two features of critical importance in Poet Assistant are: "favorites/bookmark" and export (favorites/bookmarks) – to my disapppintment, these currently do not exist in Aard 2 (Aard 2 is still invaluable, I have yet to find an alternative and worthy replacement; I mean not to criticize, only observe and share my experience and humbly support requests for features that would undoubtedly serve me with great value and educational benefit). Regarding the favorites/bookmarks list, I export this regularly for various uses, one of which @pedy mentioned already:
Then I use the list to create new Anki .
Because Aard 2 has support for user choice of dictionaries, I have so much value for it– Poet Assistant does not allow dictionary choice, which, for me limits my understanding of the words and their definitions, especially because of nuances found in different dictionaries. Because both of these apps serve as my list of words "learned," "to use," etc. my hope and intention is to encourage development for a dictionary app that includea the features that Aard 2 currently uses, with the features that Poet Assistant has regarding "favorites/bookmarks" and "export" (favorites/bookmarks). Finally, the Export file from Poet Assistant includes the words only, which is fine seeing as I prefer Aard 2's dictionaries for 'well-roundedness' completeness, sources of dictionaries that serve my use case best–
what I am saying is the option to:
I sense could have solved a problem I have had for years in finding a dictionary app for Android that includes (eapecially) the firat two features in addition to many of the invaluable features that currently exist in Aard 2 (and Poet Assistant, which I truly adore). Finally, it is my belief that Aard 2 has the fundamentals and basis to be the FLOSS penultimate Android Dictionary app (in my mind akin to F-Droid, Syncthing, ...) if it is not already, and regardless of all this I send my sincerest thank you, commendations, praise raves and support and I look forward to using Aard 2 for (I hope!) many a weeks, montha, and probably years it seems (as I have F-Droid, Syncthing, Keepass* etc.) Cheers :)~
Not sure whst you are looking for. Favourites does exist. See attachment. There is no export function right now, correct.

I just found out only the last 100 definitions get saved on the bookmark tab, also there is no way to export this list to other apps or file
