An experimenter can set a certain state for an experiment during experiment execution. This includes e.g.,:
channelpipeline configuration
virtual links
enabling/disabling physical links
and more
Currently, during an experiment these settings take effect immediately, requiring state both on portal and on gateway. Unfortunately this state is not persisted to disk and in case of one of the processes crashing or being restarted by an administrator this state is lost and the experimenter is required to re-set them.
