I m guessing why the app can’t unlatch all doors as driver ‘s . This could be useful in winter not just for driver but for all the occupants. Bluetooth disconnects very boring

Hi @drlkp Watchla can open remotely open doors. Have you tried to open doors via the open doors screen? This can be found in the All Command screen (or in the main screen if you have set it to be there in your custom layout)

Hi I see it open doors but the unlatch function is much more different as you know. This is the real features not just open and then use anyway the handle. I live by mountain and it freeze every night and car sleep in deep cold. This is the features I was looking for. I saw other apps can unlatch doors. I suggest you to implement this feature.

Hey @drlkp so I don't completely understand your wording here, it seems like your Tesla's doors are not opening completely when you execute an unlatch door request? Is this correct? Also which model do you have?

drlkp commented 11 months ago

Hi again my is a model Y performance, the doors just open let’s say in the first position open but still locked to use the handle to finalise the opening process. -:(

Ah ok, I see what you mean now. Unfortunately sometimes the door seal can prevent the door from being automatically pushed out all the way during the unlatch process, causing it to open but not be pushed out far enough to escape the latch as it re-engages. This happens more often in doors that are used less frequently like the rear doors and less frequently in the driver door as it used often and the seals are not as sticky.

Unfortunately this is a physical issue at the vehicle level of which Watchla has no control over. I would recommend asking service about this, but remotely opening doors (other than the driver door) is not yet implemented in the official Tesla app for the Model Y (I suspect because this is such a prevalent issue).

I'd recommend researching how the seals can prevent a full unlatch and any fixes there may be and go from there. For me, personally, I found the more frequently I use the door, the less likely it is to occur.

I should add that if your Driver Door is not fully unlatching you should report the issue to Tesla Service.

Ahhh…ok but other friends using different apps doesn’t have the problem. Probably I m guessing about unlatch timing fixing because it seem the process in the drivers door seem longer. From your app drivers door unlatchs normally. My car is by the way brand new
