I'm seeing the same issue. Several duplicated downloads being added to RD.
same
are you talking about a 1080p and a 2160p "duplicate"? If so, that's the intended behaviour. You have defined two versions, meaning you will download everything both in 1080p and 2160p. To only download the highest resolution, only define one version.
No, that is not what is happening. MULTIPLE copies in Real Debrid of the exact same 1080 torrent.

That would suggest that plex_debrid doesn't know that you have those episodes already. This could be because:
Here is an example of what is happening to me:
I have a show added in my watchlist for Plex, it went out and got all of the episodes for me. One of the packs was Season 1-5 MP4. Plex does see all the episodes for season 1-5 but it still had added the EXACT release to RD multiples times and I've had to go in and clean it up manually.
It could be like you're saying with the qualities messing it up, I did originally start with the default quality of 1080P and later changed the default to 4k, but it still shouldn't be grabbing the exact same release that has the same quality and episodes in it should it?
What I have now (and I wanted) is two qualities of the show, one 1080P and one 4k.
I could see that MAYBE (I haven't checked) I don't have all of the episodes in seasons 1-5 for 4k and it is confusing the script but the release in question is clearly marked as 1080P.
Hopefully that makes some sense.
Thanks for responding!
I have the same problem and I think its because when the library is refreshing, its downloading a lot a dead link. I experience this since two weeks.
Often when it’s redownloading, they don’t redownload all the files and it’s missing some episodes.

I'm beginning to think this is the case as well.
This been like this for ages. I use to use a cleaner online that would group all duplicates.
I'm experiencing same issue, it's downloading some torrents, over and over, by the end of the day i'll have 40-50 duplicates of the same torrent. It's causing plex to constantly scan media and it's a RD mess that i have to manually clean up using some debrid manager...
Yeah this happens me too .. adding content that already exists in plex twice
Has anyone found a solution or some clues on why this is happening?
Would a simple check before download make sure a duplicate doesn't exist?
Yeah i have, are you using docker?

thanks.
seems to be better than before. please keep it published
@skearney414 I'm using your image now and I still get duplicates. Duplicates meaning the exact same torrent name in real debrid, not plex duplicates.
Your plex db url must be incorrect or unreachable. One time this happened me I had it pointing to another plex server by accident which resulted in the torrents being downloaded every time. When plex debris starts it gets your library from the plex url and only downloads what’s missing.

Hmnnn.
What if I use Jellyfin instead of Plex?
No, plex db is fine and reachable, this would easily be caught in the plex_debrid logs. I should state not every torrent is dupped, just some. And the reason is mostly because plex isn't matching correctly. I don't have any unmatched in movies/.
I use zurg as my mount and it mis-categorizes a show as movie or vice versa, or it simply matches to the wrong movie.
Either way, the api should never try and add the exact same torrent id, we should just print a big error and try to find the match issue.
I use zurg too and don’t get this, are you using custom categories ? And which version of zurg ?

I'm using iampuid0/pd_zurg:latest, config is below which is mostly stock. I removed anime.
Are you on the Discord? Maybe I can create a trakt watchlist of movies that are failing and you can try to reproduce?
` zurg: v1 token: XXX host: "[::]" port: 9999 check_for_changes_every_secs: 5 enable_repair: true auto_delete_rar_torrents: true on_library_update: sh plex_update.sh "$@"
directories:
shows: group_order: 20 group: media filters:
has_episodes: true
movies: group_order: 30 group: media only_show_the_biggest_file: true filters:
Do you have plex debrid disabled in pd_zurg? Yeah hzzer._28540 On Mon 22 Apr 2024 at 21:07, jmiller0 @.***> wrote:

I've been using itsToggle for a while and I am increasingly finding the number of torrents populating my real debrid account to be expanding exponentially into pages and pages of them.. Every time I run the script, it seems I get more and more torrents added to real debrid = MANY, MANY duplicates. This was still happening to a lesser degree when I ONLY had PLEX entries in the script. Since ADDITIONALLY adding Trakt entries to the script, the problem has "taken off".
This is what I'm currently using: Content Service - I have both Trakt AND Plex activated
Library Services - Plex Libraries only
Scraper Settings - using Jackett (20 indexers) with Currently defined versions: [1080p SDR], [2160]
Debrid Services - Real Debrid only
I doubt this is the way things are supposed to behave (or is it??). So, I'm strongly suspicious I have not set up things "correctly".
Any advice, suggestions, etc. would be most appreciated.
Thanks you very much.
Phil
