I'm not completely sure what you mean by this but if you're looking to view the data usage of a particular day/days, you can do so from App Usage by changing the filter accordingly.
Ah, no, I don't want to look up data usage for a specific time. I want to start the counter at an arbitrary day and time, e.g. to track usage since using a different plan (e.g., when abroad), or since a change of plan (e.g. a new different pricing since day X).
The app usage filter is not flexible in that regard with its preset time spans. Also, it does not reset the overall counter to zero, i.e, does not start a fresh counting for the total data usage at zero.
Checklist
Describe the Feature you'd like
Please create a way to easily reset the data counter to zero.
Why do you want this feature?
It ought to be possible to set the data to zero when switching or altering data plans.
It is also desirable to be able to start and then see the count from a manually set date. E.g. after a change of carrier, or roaming. Counting data from each carrier individually (also a nice feature to have) would not help in cases of changed date for reasons other than switching carriers.
The switch would need to be done manually (at least optionally), e.g., in case the new plan only makes some change but continues counting from the current Used data. It is up to the user to decide whether to reset or not.
Example: a user defined plan with a start day of today (20th of month) displays the cumulated data since the 1st of this month.
