[QUESTION] (How) to have different color tones #15

Open lalalasupa0 opened 1 month ago

lalalasupa0 commented 1 month ago

Prerequisites (Required)

What would you like to share? (Required)

I want to change the background tone of the letters (borders) to a non-blue one

Additional information (Optional)

If it can already be done manually, how would it be? Because I was checking and looking into changing the colors with something like hex but itseems too complicated

And I don't know if changing the colors of a wallpaper would somehow do it, again idk

Welcome @lalalasupa0. These are Material You themes, which means they are dynamic, and the accent colors adapt based on the wallpaper you set for your home or/and lock screen, or the Material You palette you've chosen in your system settings.

Of course, you also have the option to set a custom hex color instead of using the Material You colors in the Florisboard theme editor. However, those colors will be fixed, meaning the keyboard elements with a custom hex value won’t change if you switch your wallpaper or system color schemes.

For example, if you set the background color for the key letters in the border themes to a hex value like #171717, then no matter what wallpaper you choose or which Material You palette you select in your system settings, the background color of the key letters will remain #171717 and won't adapt dynamically.

I hope this makes sense. I’m not entirely sure what you’re looking to modify. Are you aiming to change the current accent colors used on the keyboard, just the background for the key letters, or both? And which specific themes are you referring to?

That example is exactly what I want, I like the shapes of the keys on your keyboard, so I would like to use it but with my favorite color. But, I find it very complicated to change the colors with hex, because I think it would be difficult to find the right tone to match the current blue one Rn I'm using this other theme with just a darker background

I thought I understood, but now I'm not so sure 🥲

What exactly theme would you like to edit?

It would be a huge help if you could record a video of what you're trying to do and how, so I can see how I can best assist you.

I just want the keys with colors to have a single color, not the wallpaper color
