Radio won't calibrate #415

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

Using windows 7. APM planner 1.1.83, mav 0.9

Problem: In Configuration/Radio, no reaction to radio inputs (green bars don't
move in arduplane firmware and no green bars at all in arduquad firmware).

Things I've tried:
-3 different computers.
-APM planner has auto-updated 2-3 times.
-Arduquad, octo, heli and plane firmwares.
-Pressing reset when powering up
-Pressing reset at different times
-Booting without dataflash card
-Different receivers: AR8000 spektrum 8 channel receiver and orange 4 channel
receiver
-Verified proper PWM signals on inputs to APM2 with ocilloscope (see attached
image)
-Radio calibration through CLI mode (locks up with arduquad firmware)
-Attached servo to receiver to verify movement
-Tried with and without LiPo attached at various stages
-Changing com ports
-Verifying absence of shorts with multimeter

In attached picture, the one on the left is throttle down and the right is
throttle up. PWM changes for radio signal going into the APM2 but no reaction
from APM2 in outputs.

I have a very similar issue. I use a turnigy 9x tx and rx if that makes a
difference. 3dr found no fault with unit. see

Can you run the CLI PWM test from the Arduino serial window? You can also
access a serial window from the Planner.

Just a note on mine, it went back to 3DR and they exchanged it. Turned out to
be a faulty 32u2 chip

for mine it was the fact that I used APM tick box to reverse the throttle
throw. that threw all normal behaviour out the window. Maybe that box /
facility should be removed. i.e. force people to reverse throttle on the tx.

MP reverse tick box is removed and if I understand it correct the other problem
were caused by faulty HW
