HoTT Telemetry via UART #441

Hi!

Im using your genious arducopter-software with minimosd and 3dr telemetry for
settings at uart0/1.

Is ist possible to get the live flight data on uart 2, but that they already
formatted for the "Graupner HoTT" protocol? So, that you connect the telemetry
port from (GR-12/16/xx) to UART 2 directly. Now i build an standalone sensor
with attopilot and arduino mini pro...

With a direct connection you can see more flight data without any hardware. You
can also create some settings at mission planner, which allows to select of
control-type is coneccted (for other systems graupner hott, futaba fasst,
spektrum).

regards

hi

i'm working on it, and hott-telemetry is working by writing my own libary. :))
i use some code from https://github.com/obayer/MultiWii-HoTT.
and from
http://www.rc-network.de/forum/showthread.php/281496-Graupner-HoTT-Telemetrie-Se
nsoren-Eigenbau-DIY-Telemetrie-Protokoll-entschlüsselt

so it's a bit tricky to get all things to work. and i spend a lot of time to
get it working on UART2
voltage, current, some gps-things, some alarms are working, now.
Textmode with setting PIDs will follow.

its a bit sad that arducopter dont have this option by default.
so i hope my code is good enough, so that the ardocoper-Devs cant check the
code an implement it coming updates.

it would be great if the Arducopter-Devs has interests on implementing other
telemetry-protocolls. (like Jeti, M-link, JR and so on)

yes, that was a great thing, if the implementing your code. i build a
standalone sensor for current and cell-voltage. i would build an adpater on
arduinobase to change mavlink out to hott in. but my skills for arduino
programming and import mavlink protocoll are not so good - now... and my time
is because my computer science studies very...

Check http://code.google.com/p/hott-for-ardupilot/
Running well since few weeks.

If code is ready and you think it should be in the "mainline" arducopter code
then please send a pull request in github
