The HideBehind Seems to be Broken #46

Open JKaiya opened 2 years ago

JKaiya commented 2 years ago

Describe the bug

I've noticed that the few times I spot a hidebehind they always just stand still. Not sure if they are supposed to be hiding, but often times they are just in the open. They also never seem to rotate or move from that spot, and eventually despawn. Eventually my friends and I decided to gang up on one and kill it, but it was just defenseless and did nothing to fight back or run. Although it did move, it was only from the knockbacks of the hitting. After this I am pretty sure that the mob is broken.

To Reproduce

Add any other context about the problem here.

I do have other mods installed so this may perhaps be a mod incompatibility if it works for you. I did notice the moths worked. However the spirits seemed to be a really rare spawn as I've only noticed one for the 5-10 days of minecraft I played through yesterday.

I think you're misunderstanding how the hidebehind works.

It only works at night, period, during the day it becomes essentially useless. It also won't move if you're looking at it, and will retaliate and be highly damage resistant when attacked directly. You're not supposed to attack it, you're supposed to ignore it.

When you're not looking at it, it will approach behind you and attack you. Looking at it causes it to teleport away and hide in a tree.

Also for future information saying "Newest" for versions is essentially the same as leaving it blank, the definition of what is "newest" changes quite often.
