I am in support of this. I think it's important to make sure the project
history gets copied over (which I think the svn->git tools will accomplish). We
can probably drop some of the older Wiki pages and we should only copy over
relevant issues with a link back to the issue on this page. We may be able to
lock down individual Issues by using labels (restrict-EditIssue-owner,
Restrict-AddIssueComment-Commit) if people continue to try to add to them on
Google Code.

I have pushed all the code from svn to git by following the instructions here:

I hope this is a one-off process, ie no more changes will be made in svn.

Yes, we can now use GitHub source and not commit anything else to svn.
