Link Filtering

The hints feature of the Firefox extension Vimperator
(http://vimperator.org/trac/) is similar to Mouseless Browsing.  It enables
filtering links via typing, highlighting the first matching entry to be
selected with the enter key (tab moves the highlighter amongst other
matching entries) and if it is the only one that matches it the link will
automatically be selected, combining the best of Mouseless Browsing's
functionality with Firefox's native Quick Find (links only) feature.  Would
it be possible for Mouseless Browsing to adopt this feature?  Thanks in
advanced!

This would be an excellent enhancement imo. As a primarily keyboard navigator, 
it's
invaluable for easy navigation without reaching for the mouse. Chrome is coming 
along
nicely (on linux that is), but without this feature I'd have trouble making it 
my
default browser.

I share your sentiments chris.emery.  As long as power-user functionality like 
this
is only available on Macs through Firefox, I'm going to be hooked on it for the 
time
being.

For many people, for many reasons browsing with a mouse is impossible.  The 
scheme 
used by "Hit a Hint" (http://hah.mozdev.org/, forked and improved as lol 
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8781) is VERY effective.

"Pressing a specified [key] will activate a HaH-mode (Hit-a-Hint), which means 
that 
all "clickable" elements in the area will get a hovering hint over them. This 
hint 
has a number, and when that number is entered, the corresponing element is to 
be 
"clicked"."

Besides providing assistive technology for hundreds-of-thousands (millions?) of 
potential clients this could radically improve the ergonomics and speed of 
navigation 
for all able-bodied users and most especially touch-typists.
