These transactions work fine for me.
mariadb-libs still being on the machine is intentional, due to it containing the main config file and config directory.
[root@78807ccd75b7 ~]# rpm -ql mariadb-libs | grep cnf
/etc/my.cnf
/etc/my.cnf.d
/etc/my.cnf.d/mysql-clients.cnf
This was described in more detail in the mariadb102 wiki. I have added the same information to the mariadb103 wiki to make it easier to find.
mariadb-libs are still in server and it totally corrupts yum updates, trying to install mariadb again.
Removed:
mariadb.x86_64 1:5.5.64-1.el7
Installed:
mariadb103.x86_64 3:10.3.21-1.el7.ius
Dependency Installed:
mariadb103-common.x86_64 3:10.3.21-1.el7.ius mariadb103-libs.x86_64 3:10.3.21-1.el7.ius
Your log saying same thing. mariadb-libs are still in server and it breaking yum then...
Again, mariadb-libs still being on the machine is intentional. Please read the wiki page I linked. It does not break yum, as the logs I posted above demonstrate. If you are seeing something different, please paste the output in a gist or pastebin so I can see what error you are getting.
