Thanks. Fortunately mhvtl seems to be licensed under GPLv2, so no issue there. I'll test this on the weekend and merge it.
Do you know by chance what is the authoritative source for these constants?

Unfortunately no. I did try to search the interwebs for such goes, but either they are well hidden or my google-fu isn't good enough. I never got the time to get in touch with upstream mhvtl regarding these codes though.

OK, I found these codes and also the code for LTO-7 in a certain manufacturer's tape SCSI reference commands, so at least there's an additional confirmation these are correct.
The codes used have been extracted from the mhvtl project.
