[Bug] new videos missing from /feed/subscriptions page and/or rss feed #3646

Tested on several different invidious instances https://invidious.sethforprivacy.com/ https://invidious.epicsite.xyz/ https://watch.thekitty.zone

The only way to see if a channel had a new upload is to manually check the channel.

Video in question is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hf9C7jOyKoQ (military-related), but I also had this happen to other videos/channels.

edit: on the other hand, if I create a clean account and only subscribe to the channel in question, the video shows up how it's supposed to. Maybe there's a problem if a have too many subscriptions/new videos posted?

edit: just found out there's more fresh videos that didn't show up in the feed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0h1U-_JFAS8

I see this issue as well, channel uploaded videos 4 hours ago, but subscription does not show it (it shows the video before that, 2 days ago)

It happens to me too.

In my anecdotal case, this happened for an "Official Artist Channel" (music artist)

Their latest video appears normally on their channel page, but not on the feed/subscriptions page.

I have no "hiding" settings, such as those discussed here

edit: on the other hand, if I create a clean account and only subscribe to the channel in question, the video shows up how it's supposed to. Maybe there's a problem if a have too many subscriptions/new videos posted?

For context, I have 699 subscriptions, so the number of subscriptions is high for me too.

I have the same problem. Restarting the instance momentarily solves the problem, but it comes back after a few days.

I have the same problem. Restarting the instance momentarily solves the problem, but it comes back after a few days.

I do not run any instances, but AFAIK it is expected to regularly restart running inst in order to avoid multiple issues.

I restart the invidious instance, I get some channels newest videos to show up afterward, but not all, others are missing. Also, unsubscribed channels stick around too, not sure if others noticed this.

Same here, I'm on invidious.fdn.fr with only 24 subscriptions, and few channels' new movies are not showing up.

I think this issue matches the problem I see.

I use yattee primarily.

After a week or so new uploads stop showing up in my subscriptions feed.

If I restart my docker invidious instance then everything is refreshed and working again.

Is it really true that regularly restarting is expected behaviour?

I am on the only user for my invidious instance.

I am experiencing the same issue on my end. I am happy to provide any debug data if needed.
