Changes in API affecting redditextractor (2.1.5)? #31

Hello: I've been using redditextractor (2.1.5) and it's been working great until the beginning of this month. But now it doesn't pull anything after Aug. 31. (To be more precise, everything seems to work as it's supposed to and it retrieves data. It's just that there is no data after Aug. 31.)

I'm wondering if there's been a change in the reddit API?

I realize I'm using an old version of the package. Would using the most up-to-date version solve that issue?

Hey, thanks for reporting this. It doesn't sound like a bug in the library though. I'm not aware of any changes on the Reddit API side, but you might want to look into that. I suggest trying the following:

Search for content without using any search queries and sort them by new
Try the new version
If you are still having issues, come back with a reproducible example

Hello: thanks for responding. I will try the new version as soon as I can.

After comparing the results I get in R and those I see on reddit, I think the issue might be limited to early September. I'm able to retrieve posts from recent days and everything lines up...
