It's the top result on Google for "openai raspberry pi wake word"

Be honest, is this the best A.I. speaker voice assistant?

I plan to sit down one evening and deploy it at home, but I just wanted to check that it wasn't a dead end project or broken, or if there was a more recommended option.

Also, bro, Silicon Valley would throw you some cash to make this a startup company, just go apply for funding at the angel investor places there. The world needs a replacement for Alexa and Amazon is lazy.

I think it might need some updates it you want to get it work now. But 6 months ago, it did work. This is actually just a course project I did last semester. To be honest, it is mostly about calling APIs and kind of a POC for building a voice assistant with newest AI. It's still simple to build it so I think talking about building a startup in the Silicon Valley is too early while I am still struggling to find a graduate job in hk now :(
