There should not be a difference between $2.3 and $2.30. Perhaps, it would be good to compare the values of the doubles rather than simply storing them as a string.

I would lower the severity to VeryLow as the usability of the app remains the same despite the UI error which is cosmetic in nature.

Reason for disagreement: Allowing an edit of the same input is not simply a cosmetic issue but may bring minor inconvenience to the user. If the user thinks that he has edited a field but has not, then it would not be identified.
