Change project name #172

I believe that this is a low priority feature request that needs to be reviewed
by all team members but especially by the people who do PR.

Stunt Rally uses the google code page intensively.

To avoid confusion for players and keep up constant identity, it would be ideal
to change the project name to stuntrally or stunt-rally (I'd recommend
stuntrally.)

Apparently it is easy to do this, by making a new project and importing the
data and then redirecting from the old one:
https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/google-code-hosting/mzvwTutAI
q8

(I'm neither a project member nor a frequent player. I often test and blog
about open source games.)

Ok that's true, I should have done it long ago.

Here is the new project:
http://code.google.com/p/stuntrally/

If someone has time, try to import issues and wiki there.
That link is no help, has no info on how to do it.

Some analysis about the moving:
* Front page is simple copy pasting
* Wiki is easy - clone the current wiki hg and push to the new one
* Downloads are not important as we don't use them anymore
* Code would have been easy, but we host it elsewhere, so not applicable
* Issues are the issue: You can get the list as well as the comments fairly
easy with the DataAPI (there is also a CSV export link on the webpage, but that
doesn't include comments)
http://code.google.com/p/support/wiki/IssueTrackerAPI, but importing is
trickier and involves manual work.

As far as I know, there is no automatic, or a nice GUI way to migrate the
issues. I have no idea what kind of admin panel this project has as I don't
have any administrative access, which also prevents me from migrating the front
page, as I have no access to its source. I also cannot migrate the wiki as I'm
not a member of the new project.

For reference and IRC excerpt:

15:53 <@aave> cryham: after hours of scripting (involving e.g. writing an xml
manipulator) and trial&error, I managed to push all of the issues
to the new project, however, comments are still missing, IDs are
wrong and all of the issues are reported by me
15:55 <@aave> pushing the comments would be a big undertaking as I need to get
them for all of the issues separately (not that hard though),
then process all of the resulting xml files to separate the
individual comments to individual files and then push them one by
              one to google
15:56 <@aave> given the problems I mentioned with the already uploaded stuff,
I'd say this migration has failed

Wow. I usually don't care too much about whether or not proprietary platforms
(eg. github) are used but this clearly shows one problem.

Is it important to keep closed issues?

If not, it might be feasable to manually create 41 issues, with a link to the
old one in each of them and to keep the old project running passively for
viewing (discussing too?) the old issues only and disabling the project, once
these issues are finished.

OK. This is google's fail. (It's probably so difficult to create this rename
project button :] or allow simpler exp/import).
Doesn't matter.
If we will have our website working this won't matter at all.
And I think even with the vdrift-ogre name it's rather easy to find this page,
isn't it ? It's in our game on about tab, in Readme.txt, and google search
returns it on 1st position.
