I agree. If you remember, we made this change to avoid some sort of keyword or symbol needed to indicate what move we start at. How do you suggest we do this?
Hopefully soon we can be working directly from a database. But creating our studies in lichess is currently the most useful tool we have for you.
Do you want to put a value in the field at the bottom? Like alongside "result" or those other pre-allowed choices? I find it tricky to determine a place to start otherwise.
I think I'd need to visually see what you mean but we can discuss it. I figured this was lower priority and wanted to put it in so I didn't forget. I don't have a suggestion for the how yet, I'm just putting it out there that it makes creating the content a little tougher, but it;'s still manageable.
If you think there's something that will be easier when we have our database, maybe we wait until then, I'm just not sure of the timing of that side and wanted to have this noted somewhere

goal: Be able to choose who's move it is to play and which move the exercise should start on.
Right now all studies need to start with black to move in order to start the exercise.
I've found that this makes it a little more difficult to create the studies for hub since I need to consciously think about who's move it should be so the orientation is correct.
Sometimes I import entire games into a study and realize that I have to start from a specific move for it to work. This means I have to get the FEN, and play out the moves I'd like to show.
It would make opening study easier too if I could import say 20 games from Capablanca and have positions start a a certain move in each lesson.
In the future, it would make it easier to upload content if there were some option to choose who's move it is and which move the notation should start from/.
