NOTE: in this subsection we also propose to 1) either change from sky_scan_mode to describe both spatial and frequency scanning modes with one parameter, or 2) keep sky_scan_mode for spatial scanning and add a new frequency_scan_mode for spectral scanning. Note that both solutions imply a revision of Table 1.
