Plugin does not show up #3

I compiled the plugin and it gets installed under 
/usr/local/libexec/xfce4/panel-plugins but does not show up when doing "Add New 
Items..." in the Xfce Panel dialog.

I am using XFCE 4.8.

I think you should ./configure it with --prefix=/usr rather than the default 
which is /usr/local, unless your XFCE is installed in /usr/local as well.
