Hello, I am currently working on paperless-ngx and found the topic "Email with paperless-ng" on your page. Unfortunately, retrieving email attachments according to your specifications does not work yet. I therefore have a question: Do I have to create a task first for the retrieval to work? If so, what does it have to contain? I would be pleased if you could help me.

To answer your question directly, yes you need to create a task first I believe. If there's nothing for paperless-ngx to process then it won't be able to do any work. Furthermore, as far as I'm aware, a recent update introduced email logs which should help you narrow down your problem further.
