Individual Review

Blog Post/Meeting CPT Requirements Video

rliao569 commented 4 months ago

Ian's individual feature is mainly frontend based, and creates an animation based on where you click on the screen. Blog post efficiently covers CPT requirements, was easy to follow, nothing much I can critique about the blog post 👍 .

Video: Number one advice is open inspect element while showing the animation on screen. This will allow viewers to see what's going on in Elements behind the animation. It will also help viewers understand the code described in blog post & what's seen in the video.

Overall, eye catching feature with pretty good frontend, unique idea as well. A possible goal to work towards is making it so you can upload and share your animations with other users.

.95/1

Peer Review:

Video

  • Done well:
  • Good video quality, under 1 minute, file size is under 30 MB
  • Very clear on showcasing the features of animating the button, outputting the CSS code, various sliders
  • Detailed captions that are relevant to the feature, shows connections to the backend, and do not block the feature showcase
  • Can improve on:
  • There was nearly nothing wrong with this video, so everything suggested here are more minor / specific details
  • The intro caption "CPT - Animation Helper" was a little confusing for what the feature was, maybe adding something to indicate that it animates buttons would be helpful. Blog
  • Done well:
  • Clear description of the project and personal contribution
  • Images of the project, console, and code are relevant to the requirement and abundant
  • Explanations are sufficient and explain how the requirement is fulfilled
  • Some explanations, such as the ones for procedure snippets, could be explained more in depth about the return, output, and how it's key to the program, but it's already enough so this is a side comment
  • Can improve on:
  • Could be a little more specific in the explanation on what the user input is with the side menu, but it's already sufficient
  • Video key requirements could also be added Grade
  • 0.96/1. The program by itself is amazing, creative, useful, and very impressive. Ian's contributions are clear and well-documented, and this is seen with the variety of screenshots used in the blog and good explanations of various aspects of the program. The video was focused on the specific feature Ian contributed and had good captions that provided relevant information. Overall, more detail can always be added, but it is already sufficient and the program goes beyond the expectations.
