How do we add additional MAC addresses? #4

sorry to bother - I really love your work! any ideas how do I add on more MAC addresses so I can Streetpass my friends' 3DSes? is everything from here included?

This functionality will be added in the next couple of days! (: I'm planning a big release for v0.6 (lots of improvements and features) before International Street Pass Week is over and this is included in that so we can spoof actual Nintendo Zones.

awesome! that's great news! this is my second time using HomePass Relay (the first time was when they first announced it) - really helps getting all those Plaza Tickets much easier :D

thanks for the new update! :D any idea how we can go around adding our own list of MACs in the new update? or is that not included yet ^^

I didn't push this out with the v0.6 update unfortunately as it's going to require a bit more work than I originally planned. While you can currently edit the zonedata.plist file that XZone would have downloaded to ~/Library/Application Support/XZone and append custom MACs to the 'CustomMACs' array, this will only allow your DS to interface with those MACs and not anybody else.

What I'm planning to allow XZone to do is, when you insert a custom MAC, it will push that to a server and append it to the .plist so that it can then be disseminated amongst all XZone users via a download request whenever XZone launches, constantly keeping it up to date on everyones system. :)

I see - thanks! I was kinda thinking along the lines of adding specific MAC addresses (for same color Miis) will XZone include support for something like that in the future? - these MACs have specific guidelines to allow a single color Mii so as to help with certain achievements, etc.

I presume you mean using the MACs listed here? I will possibly add these as an option at a later date, but it will be kind of hard to control people abusing it (as in, accessing these MACs without setting their shirt colour). It might only be available as a point update after v1.0 when there's finer grained control.

ah yes I'm referring to those - been wanting to access them so I can clear Monster Manor... haha ^^
