We need to be off Google analytics for the OpenMedia volunteer testing. Can we have switched over to PiWik in the next day or two?

This can be done in a few hours. I'll setup the PiWik instance in the new server, then we will have to the tracking reference to all the pages. Will send updates later today

Yes, good.

Does this mean that if the certs work out we can use the new server for the testing by tomorrow or Thursday?

We'll need to do some of our own testing on it first.

I run into an issue when attempting to use the piwik installed now in the new server. This is also associated to SSL certificates, but in this case browsers by default do not allow to retrieve content from both http and https.

One solution for testing in the new server is that we serve all via http, so we can use the piwik.

Andrew if you mean to use the new server for testing the website, I'm optimistic that we can do in in a few days. Note that this not include yet enabling the new server to receive contributions. This is a task that will require until next week and comprehensive testing.

This phase of testing can go ahead without the contribution capabilities. It would however require an explicit notice in the appropriate place on the Contribute page to alert visitors that contributions have been suspended temporarily. The questionnaire may also need to be tweaked very slightly.
