Explore - Why indicate missing carrier name (ASN=-1) when an ARIN lookup produces a legit carrier/ASN #39

We only look up ASN once, when IP is added to the DB. This IP was listed as -1 at that time, but no longer. However, we have no practice for updating any IP related information after it has been added.

This implies we need to have a periodic refresh of router info. Once, twice a year??

Umm, that is a large question, and one that we have been flirting with for years. We have never refreshed router information - that is why we believe that many of them are no longer in the same physical location as we had previously assigned...
