Before you begin please read the FAQ!

Attention!

Don't post doubles!

Why is it important to find doubles?

Sipdroid is a community project. This is no dropbox for your personal
issue. You need to find others having the same problem to get it fixed. If
the problem has already been reported you add more details and ideas to the
existing discussion. If it has not been reported yet you include as many
background info as possible to give the community a chance to follow up on
it. No one will just sit there and try to replicate your setup. The root
cause of the problem will need to be identified to get it fixed.

How can I find doubles?

When clicking on issues tab there is a search box. Enter keywords for your
issue to find previous reports matching yours. Choose find all to match
closed tickets as well.

How can I investigate an incompatiblity?

Just mentioning a SIP server or device that does not interoperate with
Sipdroid won't help much because the developers might not have that
particular setup on hands. So you will try to add a SIP or logcat trace
from your network/phone to make a fix at all possible.

Did you carefully read above?

If yes, please fill out the following form and provide all necessary
details.
If not, you may continue in the Forum where you can discuss your problem to
clear things up before filing an issue report.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Fast and stable connection via Wifi or any mobile connection
(hsdpa,3g,edge...)
2. Call or be called by anybody
3. Talk and be talked to

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expext that at least via wifi I should have a lagless call. Instead
every now and then the incoming sound goes mute for a few seconds and is then
delivered in some kind of fast forward mode as if trying to catch up with the
actual conversation. This is only experienced by me, not the person on the
other side.

What version of the product are you using? On what device/operating system?
I am using Sipdroid 1.5.6 but it already happend on previous versions too. My
phone is a Motorola Milestone running Android 2.1.

Which SIP server are you using? What happens with PBXes?
I use a german provider called 1und1 through pbxes. It also happens on incoming
calls from google voice routed directly to pbxes.

Which type of network are you using?
It happens an any network. Wifi, 3g, hsdpa, edge, you name it.

Please provide any additional information below.
Could this be somehow an issue of my cpu being too slow or having insufficient
free ram? Autokiller shows me i have around 45mb of free ram prior to the call,
but this also happens if I don't have autokiller installed and the memory
management set to the stock android behaviour.
My roommate, using the same networks on his Samsung Galaxy S has no lags like
me.

I did some further testing. While talking to my roommate who was on the same
wifi network and has the same exact setup except for his phone being a Samsung
Galaxy S, I started some random apps and loaded stuff and whenever it seemed
that the cpu was under stress, there were more lags. Also i noticed that ther
percentage of loss and late was partially up to 30%, while my roommate had 0%
throughout the call.
How can it be that nobody else experienced such problems on the milestone?

Actually, I am experiencing this issue right now on my Nexus S.
It's exactly as you describe.
Is there a known fix?
