I'm sorry that it happens to you. The account is supposed to be kept after an update. This bug that I cannot reproduce unfortunately is even more annoying than that : After adding an account, if Squawker is closed and reopened then the account is lost. It's a duplicate of the issue #208. I'm currently working on it but since I cannot reproduce the issue, it is really hard for me to find the problem. First I thought it was related to GrapheneOS (maybe a security problem) since the people who reported the issue are all on GrapheneOS. But now there is one with the issue who is with Android 13 (Samsung Galaxy S20), so I don't know if it's related.

Thanks so much!!

Although, if I close and reopen squawker, my account isn't removed?

Also, I was logged in for 1-2 weeks before the latest update and my account never got removed.

It only disappeared on my end after the update

And on the latest version... I just tried to close (swipe the app out of the app tray) and reopened it... and my account is still there.

MAybe i could try to "force stop;" it and reopen it

One other thing that may help... after the account login update from a few weeks ago... my squawker wouldn't load at all, it was a blank screen. But after I cleared cache and cleared data/storage, it started working again

Maybe clearing cache/clearing data will help with this account issue?

Thank you

Well it's good to know that you don't have the same problem as with the other issue. So it's not a duplicate.

Clearing the cache has no impact on the account. When you clear the data/storage, the account is deleted.

Maybe that's the reason you had to add your account info again?

No, sorry my message was confusing i think

I had to clear data on the previous update (the one from a few weeks ago that implemented account logins in place of guest accounts), not the most recent update from days ago.

My app wouldnt work, it wasn't responding at all until I removed data.

I was just thinking maybe if this person cleared their data, it would start working for them as well...like maybe its a similar issue with them. Maybe they need to export their data, clear data, then see if accounts are working or not

I just thought if they didn't clear their data previously, maybe thats their problem also. Thank you!

Version v3.7.4 should fix the issue.
