Have you tested this with Rackspace public cloud which is based on OpenStack? Are there any pitfalls to be aware of if you have?

No I haven't tested with Rackspace. I'm using OVH's public cloud, it's working just fine.

Behind the scene, this script uses docker-machine to setup the instance, which I believe should have been tested with Rackspace.
