for those using 64bit version you will have to follow this in order to work
properly. i had to do it because it bugged other way (you really have to do in
that order):
"TUTORIAL WORKS 100%!!! A user called Kenneth did this. Found it in the issue
section!
JUST BEFORE DOING THIS... DELETE ALL THE DRIVERS MANUALLY IN THE DEVICE
MANAGER... RIGHTMOUSE (DELETE DRIVER -> UNINSTALL? YES in the checkbox)
I HAD THE SAME PROBS AS YOU AND NOW IT'S WORKING!!!
KENNETH:
Heres what i did i was having the same problem and i solved it heres how. 1.I
unplugged the controller 2.uninstalled all the chatpad drivers 3.plugged the
controller in one of my pc's back usb ports 4.went to device manager and
updated my normal controller drivers( if the controller updated the drivers
automatically its best to check but you should be ok) 5.restart and do the f8
driver check disable 6.install AMD64 chatpad drivers and wait for it to
finish(if you get the pop ups asking about drivers click install anyway) 7.once
the drivers have installed restart the pc and do the f8 disable again 8. now
unplug the controller and plug it right back into the same usb port 9.run the
normal win7 amd64 test 3.exe and the command prompt should open and stay open
10.once the command prompt finishes it will be open so press a couple buttons
to see if they light up this works 100% of the time for me although it took me
awhile to figure it out also im on win7 64bit too if it doesnt work retrace
your steps because i just typed this entire message from my chatpad hope this
helps good luck"
if you already installed it and it doesnt work... you will have to do this
"JUST BEFORE DOING THIS... DELETE ALL THE DRIVERS MANUALLY IN THE DEVICE
MANAGER... RIGHTMOUSE (DELETE DRIVER -> UNINSTALL? YES in the checkbox)" make
sure you run the uninstaller that comes with the drivers too, then install it
again with the order listed above
NOTE: any time you want to use the controller you will have to disable the
signature drivers on F8 ALWAYS! otherwise the controller dont even switch on...
if you dont want this anymore (because it might be boring to always start
windows with F8 option, start uninstalling it the way above, then uninstall the
original driver for the controller and reinstall it (do not forget to remove
the virtual drivers on the device manager) and the controller should be fine
again... hope this helps while the project is stopped and they dont have the
signed drivers, and an easier installer..
anyway i want to thanks the creator of this, since microsoft itself didnt do
it, i always wanted this because the chatpad for pc is too useful i can emulate
the keys and play pc games easier with the chatpad as going msn while im on my
bed ^^
it gave me problems before i followed the tutorial above, so if you didnt use
it yet and want (if you have 64bit windows, follow it!)

after some time working on the configuration file, ive made this one configured
for portuguese-portugal keyboards... it was kinda troublesome since the name of
the codes didnt match the keys, i had to type 1 by 1 to know which was from
where... so in order to make it easier for portuguese people like me, im
sharing it here!

NOTE: make sure you take off the "_PTver" part to make it work
