What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. uninstalled previous version (downloaded from android market)
2. give permissions and click "install"
3. "installing..." with loading bar, then error symbol "Application not
installed"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
min3dSampleProject1_016.apk on a htc nexus one.

I also had the same problem on my samsung galaxy S.

A bigger problem is that the latest version, min3dSampleProject1_016.apk,
seemed to have a serious security problem or something similar, since it
required a user permission especially on "PHONE STATUS". Why does this
application require such permission? In Androidmanifest.xml, it doesn't specify
such permissions. There was one more permission requested as well, which I
don't remember.

Dear, could you please check what happened on the latest version ?

It seems I can't compile from the latest build. For some reason, the method
used in FogExample doesn't exist on the min3d library.

Just tried to install min3dSampleProject1_016.apk on Desire HD Gingerbread and
got the same 'application not installed' error as others here.

Trying via adb gives...

$ adb install ~/Downloads/min3dSampleProject1_016.apk
1324 KB/s (1353030 bytes in 0.997s)
    pkg: /data/local/tmp/min3dSampleProject1_016.apk
Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES]

...and unzipping the APK sure enough it appears to not contain the META-INF
folder with the required certs.

So something definitely wrong with the APK available in the repo, and appears
there has been for 3 months now?
