I believe this used to work. Possibly related to new animation system. If I turn on skinning for a model, its mesh view is stuck in bind pose.
Not present in 3.4
I noticed this was a different thing. "Wireframe view" works with skinning and animation, but not the wireframe mesh that is shown when a Geometry is selected.
