jOOQ / jOOL

jOOλ - The Missing Parts in Java 8 jOOλ improves the JDK libraries in areas where the Expert Group's focus was elsewhere. It adds tuple support, function support, and a lot of additional functionality around sequential Streams. The JDK 8's main efforts (default methods, lambdas, and the Stream API) were focused around maintaining backwards compatibility and implementing a functional API for parallelism.

I upgraded jool from 0.9.12 to 0.9.14 and now I'm seeing a warning implying I need to be using JDK9+ if I want to use a Seq. That can't be right can it?

Caused by: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: org/jooq/lambda/Seq has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 53.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0
