Public upload link

is it possible to give an user only the permission to upload files to a 
specified folder?

i'm working in the advertising business and we've got several provider for 
printing materials and they sometimes have to upload some data for us, but 
shouldn't have the permission to view any other files..

Unfortunately no. I think best solution could be to setup separate upload page, 
as there is not much point in showing the file manager interface if upload is 
the only option.

Changing to enhancement request:

ability to get public upload link for a folder, which can be sent via email to 
anyone. This link opens a upload page, and the uploaded file is saved to the 
folder where the link was sent from.
