some basic questions #2

Hello I would like to check whether the H5DRM is functioning properly in OpenSees. Specifically, I wanted to compare the response at the center point of the DRM box example provided in the OpenSees documentation between OpenSees and Shakermaker. However, while the acceleration results match well, the velocity and displacement results are different. It's surprising because the numerical integration of the accelerations yields the same results as OpenSees, but Shakermaker produces a completely different answer.

I also have another question regarding the output of station.getresponse() in Shakermaker. From what I have seen in the Shakermaker code, it appears that the output represents velocities. Is that correct?

Hi Amin,

Please get the latest version of the code. I'm still fixing some bugs.

I don't think I fully understand the first paragraph. Can you elaborate/provide pictures/files.

ShakerMaker will produce velocity results if the input to the fault is a slip rate function, which should be the default and is recommended.

Saludos,
