Equalizer isn't compensating for Bluetooth. Actually the two have nothing to do with each other. What eq does is it makes the headphones' sound more balanced (makes different frequencies "equal"). You should be selecting the headphone model you are wearing so that the correction tailored for that model will be applied.
Hi, I found this preset EQ(which was really brilliant!) from a built-in function in Qudelix app, a bluetooth DAC controller, and I found the preset Eq with matched earbuds type to mine which was an exciting thing.
What really confuses me later was, I thought these preset EQs are compensating something in frequency to make up the lost detail through bluetooth transimisssion based on certain earphone frequency characteristics. However, I found these EQs are actually mimics of the sounds of different earphones designed with professional lab measurements. Then, it sounds a bit silly if I am using the EQ of ie 600, for example, to listen to music while I am actually using the physical ie 600 earbuds. (what makes it more confusing was, I actually felt so much improvements in bass through using the preset EQ.)
So is it a right way to use these EQs with the same type according to our earphone type, or are we supposed to use them only if we want to reproduce some earphone's sound characteristics ?
