The Plantronics / Poly BackBeat Pro 2 has a switch to turn active noise cancelling on or off. Which when turned on also changes the audio in the following way:
overall volume is increased
the bass is a lot more prominent
adds some low volume (white?) noise? (from the mic?)
So my question is, is the profile in AutoEq for the BackBeat Pro 2 with the noise cancelling switch enabled or disabled? I would have expected two distinct profiles in AutoEq, one for with the ANC switch on and one for off, especially as the bass sounds totally different between these two settings.
(And sorry, I'm not an audio expert, maybe I'm misunderstanding the whole concept of AutoEq :D.)
The frequency response that's currently in AutoEq has a lot of bass, so I'm guessing it would be measured as ANC on. You can also look up the Rtings article for the headphone to try and find clues.
