_NPCScan: Cache not clearing #39

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What version of the add-on are you using? 4.0.3.6 both the _npc scanner and
over lay are both up to date from curse

What version of World of Warcraft are you using? (Please include language)
english 4.0.6.13623

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I am seeing that even
after clearing the cache. The mobs are still being stored. I get a message
across my screen such and such is cached. This happens even I I log in while
in Flight over borean tundra. I get a whole list of creatures cached.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. any toon logging in for example Lil Timmy in stormwind is cached
2. I have exited the game while in flight also deleted all the files log back
in and still get the message
3.

Please provide any additional information below.

Windows XP PRO SP3
I have removed the saved variables from the WTF. I deleted the addons folders
than reinstalled both addons. I deleted the whole cache file. I have done
this multiple times. There are several reports on Curse about this with no
replies to them. It has been going on for a couple months now

Have you made sure that WoW is completely closed before clearing your cache?
If you leave it running, the cache won't clear properly.

After you close WoW, do you have this file in your World of Warcraft folder?
  Cache/WDB/enUS/creaturecache.wdb

That's the only file that actually needs to be deleted. If you can't find it,
then you'll have to find the Cache folder WoW is using by searching your drive
for "creaturecache.wdb".

yes I delete that file every time i even delete the whole cache file only
way to clear it I have found so far it to remove all the .lua .bak files
under all the toons and the saved variables file than it clears completely

it was working just fine till the last update all i would have to do is delete
the mention file and all gone
