This is currently an ongoing pull request, but I thought a would started so that people can have a first look at it.

This note will get properly updated as I add the remaining stuff.

[ ] Make sure Patch-AAMs still work
[ ] Revise lk_fit method in AAM class
[ ] Improve documentation
[ ] Include new image features and AAM notebook
[ ] Adapt to newly restructured image package
[ ] Change notebooks to use new io package

Awesome Joan! Just a quick note though, this is a PR onto my personal branch (jabooth). Do the same process again onto ibug/pybug and we'll start the discussion there. Will close this now so there's no confusion in future
