Using a rocket with the default options enabled doesn't actually boost you when using an elytra, if you uncheck the option the game crashes when trying to boost.

I have the same problem, my game kind of just gives up and freezes. Please fix this as I do like the features added by this mod.

Edit: I am on 1.20.1
