Suppress auto-cursor key detect? #161

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Make a menu.lst of
title 1
configfile /menu.lst
title 2
configfile /menu.lst
etc. etc. up to 32 menu entries

boot to grub4dos

If press cursor-down 30 times then auto-timeout starts

if reboot to menu and then press cursor-right 8 times then auto-timeout starts

How can this behaviour be suppressed?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.45c and 0.46a

Please provide any additional information below.

If I have a menu of > 30 entries then auto-timeout starts if user uses cursor
keys.

See issue 29
A user has complained to me about this 'feature' when they noticed that the
bottom line of the screen cleared (due to timeout text prompt).
So this is noticed by real users and does affect real users.

Good report. I think this feature should be disabled by default, because most
of the PC users never need it.
