Fix for 'Buffer is not modifiable' error #341

I added a fix for this that seems to work.

it fixes the issue but spams with this notification instead, the problem is with checking the busy state, I'll open the separate pr to fix it, but thanks for you work here!

Ah ok strange I don't see that but I don't have that floating notifications thing. Is that noice plugin? - looks awesome
